I set out to complete blocks 3 and 4 of Betsy's Closet this month and I did but imagine my surprise when I realised I was actually completing block FIVE so I guess I did more than I "should have".
Here it is.....block 5 of Betsy's Closet. I imagined it quite differently before it was stitched and honestly thought that the one colour would be quite boring.......guess I was wrong because I love it!
and a close-up of the chain stitch fill in stitch and the french knots.
I brought home a new piece of furniture last week from Ikea and now my fabric will have somewhere to live (once it is properly wound onto "bolts")
Your new cupboard will look lovely full of fabrics and you are making so much progress with Betsy!
ReplyDeleteLove the block; reminds me of dress I had when I was about 10 years old :-) that's a great looking cupboard.
ReplyDeleteLove the block Cath! Very cute and I cannot wait to see the whole quilt together. Love the cupboard! That will hold quite a bit...a future shopping trip needed perhaps? LOL
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely stitches. I love doing French knots. What a great cupboard too ; )

Hi Cath,
ReplyDeleteYou've scored all over the place girl!!! Love
it when you get ahead on projects, even if you
don't realize in the first place!!! Your cupboard
is just gorgeous and very handy indeed. The block
is too cute, love the back stitch either side of
the chain stitch!!
