ReplyDeleteHi Cath. My birthday is on the 18th March. Could we celebrate together? In fact, it's also my Dad's birthday on the 18th aswell. He will be 85 years old. Gosh!! I'm going to organise a party for him. Sorry, I have no blog but I do read your blog. Can I still enter?
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sue from Cyprus x x x
PS OOps sorry, forgot to mention how I decorate my cupcakes..... buttered icing with lots of hundreds and thousands (sprinkles)!
ReplyDeleteHappy upcoming birthday, Cath! I found you through your comment on Daryl's blog. I like the way you embellished that flower with the beads and embroidery. The one in the first photo in your most recent post.
ReplyDeleteI don't make cupcakes. My son does all the baking here and I can't remember the last time he made cupcakes. He usually makes cookies and cake. Years ago when I made cupcakes, they were all chocolate with all chocolate icing. My favorites!
Hi Cath, Happy Birthday! I too found you through your comment on Daryl's blog. I have really enjoyed reading your posts. You are a very talented photographer!
ReplyDeleteMy cup cakes are now gluten=free and come out of a packet! Still yummy, and they go fast for shearer's lunches!
Ha, my cup cakes never look like that so I'll be pleased no baking is involved. Happy Birthday!!!

I decorate my Vanilla cup cakes with a beautiful creamy vanilla frosting with melted chocolate bud drizzled over the top, then to finish it off I pop a little icing flower on top.

i decorate my cupcake with chocolate or butter frosting. but when i'm out of time, i just put nutella on top and let the kids put sprinkles on it.
Love the cupcakes in your post - I need to decorate mine a bit better. My friend makes wedding cakes and had a shop where she sold the most beautiful cupcakes decorated with butterflies, flowers etc. I shall try harder LOL. I have added you to the blogs I (try to) read in my sidebar. I hope you have a very cupcake filled birthday!
