This is such a busy time of year with Christmas Functions, Christmas shopping and all that, I suddenly thought during the week that I would like to add some Christmas Fun to our home with a few strategically placed ornies....nothing too much since we will not be here for Christmas and no-one is visiting until the New Year....I still want to find a few nik-naks to finish it off and my Farmer found a sweet little Pine Tree sapling that we are going to replant into a pot for a Xmas Tree.....I can't wait for him to do that.
I have done some stitching and which I debuted in my last post....well I have done a bit more on that as well
I have finished the little house.....my chain stitch has improved enough for me to feel better about using it in the curved shape of the roof.
and on the heart set in the door
Now I just have to finish off the flowers and the little bird sitting on the roof.
This will be an easy peasy finish for this week......and then.....well back to the usual wishful thinking projects. Not much change to the Design Board
So, how about you.....have you got anything to share as we get closer to the 'Silly Season'? From now until Christmas....feel free to share your Christmas Decorating too
Let's see what you have on your Design Board this week:
- Link will be open until Sunday 13/12/15.

Heh heh heh. I saw the first photo of your stitchery, and thought it was a dress on a hanger til I looked a bit closer. Silly me. Such pretty variegated thread you are using.
ReplyDelete2 little elves are going to come thundering and crashing through my door around 3pm to help me put up the Christmas tree. Then my house will start to look Christmassy.
Love your beautiful decorations...a fresh tree will be lovely. Very nice stitching too x
ReplyDeleteThe flowerville house looks lovely, your chain stitch is very neat

ReplyDeleteLovely decorations, Cath. Your Flowerville is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be so much fun to work on. What a whimsy piece!
ReplyDeleteYour chain stitch is going very nicely. The variegated thread brings the whole piece alive.
ReplyDeleteIt's always amazing to see how pretty varigated thread turns out on a piece. It's so darn hard to imagine the outcome when I'm picking a spool. Yes, indeed, this can be a silly season when you think of all the 'must do's' involved. I haven't done a tree yet, or more than the smallest amount of shopping. We just don't get too darned excited, and it makes it much more enjoyable. I should love to think I could just sit and stitch the season through. Thanks for the eye candy. It's lovely~!

Oh wie schön du gestickt hast ! Ich bin begeistert ! Den Kettenstich muß ich mal üben, ich habe ihn in der Schule gelernt aber nie wieder gestickt.

Your hand stitching looks so good, and the variegated thread you are using adds such great interest to the piece. It's so pretty Cath! Thanks for sharing on MCM; I hope you have a great week!
